Theodora Dea is an Oslo based artist, who studied visual art at NISS- Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio in the late 2000’s. Dea uses a mixed media technique of alcohol ink and resin to create organic and geometric shapes. She adds 24K gold and shimmer to elevate the 3D effects of the different layers of media, and to make the art playful to light. This technique also happens to make the art waterproof and sustainable. As a diver and as someone who loves and cares about the ocean and waters, Dea made it her trademark to photograph and present her fine art underwater. Hence the slogan “the Aquartistic Art of an Aquarian”.

Her goal is to have an underwater fine art exhibition in the near future where people can experience her art in its element. Dea wants to show people the beauty and magic she sees in the world through her eyes despite all the madness we experience in everyday life.

Theodora Dea is an activist and environmentalist who shares 20% of her art sales to support different organizations. Her work and production of the art itself has a focus on sustainability using leftover construction materials to make canvases, and recycling every single piece of plastic that comes with buying materials. Her works are also made to last for centuries with UV protection on all fronts and sturdy waterproof industrial materials as a foundation.

Dea was also working as the director of Female Artists Oslo AS 2022/23.
